How to try GPT3 right now

try gpt3

by John Biggs

If you’ve been hanging out waiting to use ChatGPT then I’ve got something for you. I coded this up yesterday and thought it might be a fun tool for you all to try. It’s basically an interface to GPT-3 that connects to the API via the code I shared last week.

You can try it out at I don’t know why I called it quickbeast. I decided to share this with a smaller group of people because it could get my API access dinged but feel free to send through a few queries so you can understand why everyone on LinkedIn is going nuts for this tool.

My take? It’s absolutely great for quick and dirty content creation. You can ask it simple questions – Tell me the difference between bitcoin and ethereum – and you’ll get an answer back in a few seconds. To wit:

Bitcoin and Ethereum are both decentralized, open-source blockchain networks, but they have some key differences. Bitcoin is a digital currency and payment system, while Ethereum is a decentralized platform that runs smart contracts. Bitcoin is primarily used as a store of value and a medium of exchange, while Ethereum is used to create decentralized applications and execute smart contracts. Bitcoin is secured by Proof of Work consensus, while Ethereum is secured by a hybrid of Proof of Work and Proof of Stake consensus. Bitcoin has a fixed supply of 21 million coins, while Ethereum has no fixed supply and is constantly being created.

As a professional content producer, that’s solid gold. It gives me a paragraph of simple information I can use instantly. It’s very heady stuff.

Is it the panacea everyone claims? Absolutely not. The content it produces isn’t human in any real way but an amalgam of content that seems human to us because, like a dog, it’s trained to please, not inform. That said, it’s a great starting point for your content endeavors.

If you missed John’s post on GPT3 last week, you can find it on our blog.

Anyway, give it a try and let us know if you need help. Contact us if you want someone to translate GPT-speak into human for your blog posts or press releases.
